Since joining ITIC in 1998, Irene Savitsky has organized and managed ITIC programs in more than 60 countries around the world. These programs bring senior finance, taxation, customs, and parliamentary officials together with representatives of international organizations, multinational companies and leading universities.
Ms. Savitsky has lead responsibility and oversight for ITIC financial management, including budgeting, accounting, and reporting.
Prior to joining ITIC, Ms. Savitsky was Executive Director and Program Manager for the Krieble Institute in Washington, whose mission was to assist emerging countries of the former Soviet Union in their transition to democracy and free markets via training programs for senior government officials and business leaders. Ms. Savitsky organized numerous high-profile events, supervised more than 40 field representatives in Eastern and Central Europe, and managed over 100 in-country programs.
Earlier in her career, Ms. Savitsky was Head of the English Department at the Institute of Management in Ukraine.
Ms. Savitsky received her M.A. with honors in both English and German from the Ivano-Frankivsk State University in Ukraine. She also undertook postgraduate study at the Kiev Institute of Foreign Languages and completed core coursework in the MBA program at George Washington University.
