Reggie is an international corporate tax adviser with over 25 years tax and legal experience; including roles based in the UK, Nigeria, Singapore, The Netherlands, and the UAE; within the profession and in industry. He started his tax career at Arthur Andersen, then Price Waterhouse, and was with Shell International (where he held various roles with the last being regional tax manager of the Middle East, the Caspian and South Asia) before joining The Cragus Group in 2007. He is a Law graduate; graduating LLM from the University of London (London School of Economics) in 1984.
He has multi jurisdictional and multi disciplinary professional qualifications (in law, accountancy and taxation); he is a Chartered accountant, a UK Chartered Tax Adviser and a UK Solicitor and is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
He has strong expertise in the oil and gas sector, and advises many clients in the financial services, telecommunications and infrastructure sectors. He has extensive experience across Middle East, Africa, US, Europe, Russia, South Asia and Asia pacific, in corporate structuring, cross border transactions, transfer pricing, joint ventures, tax negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, and double tax treaties.
He has written several articles and presented in several conferences on Middle East and Africa tax matters, and has actively participated in various initiatives, aimed at contributing to the development of the fiscal framework and tax regimes of developing countries. He is also a senior adviser to the International Tax and Investment Center (ITIC); currently working with the ITIC on the development of the oil and gas tax regime in Iraq and Libya.
