President, ITIC Kazakhstan
Mukhit Akhanov serves as President of ITIC Kazakhstan, a position he has held since 1996. In this capacity, he acts as liaison with ITIC’s network of sponsors with operations in Eurasia and with various government agencies in the region, particularly Ministries of Finance and Tax Administrations.
Over the years, Mr. Akhanov has designed and delivered numerous capacity-building programs and other professional development training, both in-country and abroad, for fiscal officials, legislators and judges.
Mr. Akhanov’s previous experience includes several assignments as a professional Interpreter/translator for major gas pipeline construction projects in Western Siberia and in Libya. His prior experience also includes work in Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan, while he held the position of External Relations Coordinator for the Kazakh-American Joint Venture “Cenim” (Trust).
Mr. Akhanov graduated from the Moscow State Institute of Foreign Languages.
