Blake Amann is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a B.A in Central European Studies and incoming master’s student at King’s College London. He is a former Fulbright Scholar, through which he taught English in Tashkent, Uzbekistan for two years and traveled extensively around Central Asia. He is interested in international energy transition, geopolitical risk, and the political economy of resource-rich countries. He speaks English, French, and Russian.
Erlan Benedis-Grab is a rising senior at Indiana University–Bloomington, majoring in Central Eurasian Studies and Economics. His academic interests include geoeconomics, international trade, and economic policy in Central Asia. He aims to pursue a career in international relations focused on advancing U.S. engagement in Central Asia.
Eliza Fox is a graduate of the University of Denver with a B.A. in International Studies and Russian. She speaks Russian and her main interests are the politics of the South Caucasus, Russian domestic affairs, and U.S.-Russia relations. At ITIC, she has developed a growing interest in Eurasian energy dynamics. Eliza hopes to continue her work at Eurasia-focused think tanks in the future.
Wilhem A. Hausmann is a recent graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. in Political Science and a minor in English. A Pi Sigma Alpha member, his studies focused on American politics, data analysis, and Middle East relations. He brings to this role a background in editing and film production.
Michael Horan is a recent International Studies graduate from the University of Wisconsin. He was born in DC and grew up in East Asia. He is interested in U.S. foreign policy and international relations. He hopes to continue his work in international politics and policy in the future.
Liam Humphrey is a recent graduate of Temple University where he studied political science and global studies with a focus in security, he also earned minors in journalism and data analytics. His main interests lie in human security and international development, but he aims to learn about as many fields as possible over the course of his career. Liam hopes to work in the humanitarian or adjacent sectors long term and is open to a variety of types of work.
Asya Ikizler has a master’s from Columbia Climate School and a bachelor’s from Bocconi University in international politics and economics. She is interested in how geopolitics, critical minerals, and energy investments affect each other across the world.
Andres Loretdemola is a graduate student at Georgetown University in the Master of Science in Foreign Service program. His current focus is Russian/Eurasian politics and has a background in China/MENA. He speaks all six UN languages.
