Jean-Sébastien Boutet is a recent graduate of the master’s program in International Relations at Laval University. Passionate about the analysis of multilateral relations between major powers and diplomacy, his main research interests are Russian and Chinese foreign policy as well as the international energy transition. Currently learning Russian, he speaks French and English fluently.


Samirah Hussain is an undergraduate student at Georgetown University studying international politics with a concentration in environment and energy security. She is interested in the geopolitics of energy and the international renewable transition, with a focus on the Middle East. Samirah brings experience in sustainability and law and speaks four languages: English, French, Arabic and Urdu.


Paulina Kachalova is a recent graduate from the University of St. Andrews, majoring in International Relations. Her main interests lie in international law and how the rising advancement of technology will impact the global economy. She hopes to continue her work by contributing to legal policy development.


Samantha Orozco holds an LL.M. in International Law from the University of Greenwich and a B.A. from Florida International University, where she double majored in Philosophy and International Relations. Her academic research examined international legal frameworks, territorial disputes, and the role of international institutions within inter-state conflicts. She is interested in security and energy governance in Eurasia, with a focus on their legal and strategic implications.


Kirill Shabalin is a recent graduate of Columbia University with a specialization in Comparative Politics. He has a strong interest in economic and security cooperation between South Asia and the post-Soviet space. He has received fellowships from the governments of Japan, India, and the U.S. Kirill aims to bring his perspective on South Asia to the evolving dynamics of Central Asia, particularly in relation to China and Russia.


Eva Yeghyan is a student at the University of Maryland, where she is majoring in Public Policy with a minor in International Development and Conflict Management Her academic and professional interests involve migration, post-conflict recovery, and international development. She speaks English, Armenian, and Russian and is particularly interested in how public policy can support displaced populations and strengthen local communities in fragile and conflict-affected regions.


Erin Zhu is a recent graduate of Tufts University with a B.A. in International Relations. Her academic interests include resource security and Sino-MENA relations. She is particularly interested in how access to energy and critical minerals shapes international trade and state relations.
